It is based on the international standard <strong>ISO 22000<\/strong>, This is supplemented by industry-specific preventative programs (e.g., according to the ISO\/TS 22002 series) and additional FSSC requirements. The scheme is widely used internationally and is particularly required by globally operating corporations.
