{"id":89328,"date":"2026-10-20T21:38:13","date_gmt":"2026-10-20T19:38:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/praxistrainings-lms.de\/?post_type=glossary&#038;p=89328"},"modified":"2026-11-06T05:30:28","modified_gmt":"2026-11-06T04:30:28","slug":"validierung-verifizierung","status":"publish","type":"glossary","link":"https:\/\/praxistrainings-lms.de\/en\/glossar\/validierung-verifizierung\/","title":{"rendered":"Validation &amp; Verification"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>validation<\/strong> and <strong>verification<\/strong> are often confused, but answer different questions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>validation<\/strong> asks <em>in advance<\/em>&quot;Is the measure fundamentally suitable for controlling the hazard?&quot; It provides scientific or technical proof that a control measure \u2013 such as a <a href=\"#thermische-prozessvalidierung\">Heating step<\/a>, a <a href=\"#reinigung-desinfektion\">Cleaning process<\/a> or a metal detector \u2013 which is effective when used correctly.<\/li>\n<li><strong>verification<\/strong> asks <em>ongoing<\/em>&quot;Is the measure being implemented as planned and is the system working?&quot; This includes evaluations of records, <a href=\"#interne-audits-lieferantenaudits\">internal audits<\/a>, Laboratory analyses, calibrations, and trend analyses. Our <a href=\"https:\/\/praxistrainings-lms.de\/service-lebensmittelsicherheit\/downloads-lebensmittelsicherheit\/checkliste-verifizierung-haccp\/\">HACCP verification checklist<\/a> helps with that.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Both terms are integral parts of the <a href=\"#haccp\">HACCP principles<\/a> as well as the standards IFS, BRCGS and FSSC 22000. Validation is particularly necessary for new products, processes or systems, and after significant changes.
