With the „Food Hygiene Regulation Training“ you will receive a certificate “LMHV § 4 Training” and meet the legal requirements for handling food.

The instruction takes place according to VO (EG) 852/2004 (Annex II, Chapter XII) and § 4 Food Hygiene Ordinance (LMHV).

This training course has been reviewed and officially approved by the State Central Office for Distance Learning (ZFU) (approval number). 7551525). This means it not only meets the legal requirements according to § 4 LMHV, but also the ZFU's requirements regarding didactics, contract terms and consumer protection.

Note for participants from Baden-Württemberg: A special legal provision currently applies to restaurants in Baden-Württemberg. As it stands, our LMHV § 4 training does not replace the legally required restaurant instruction according to § 3 of the Baden-Württemberg State Restaurant Act.

Why do I need hygiene training?

Legal basis according to § 4 of the Food Hygiene Ordinance (LMHV)

For a processing fee of 10 euros, we will be happy to issue it in the desired language.

Your access to the hygiene training will remain available for at least four weeks after registration. You will have access to your certificate for this period. It's best to download your certificate directly.

In Baden-Württemberg, special legal regulations have been in effect since January 1, 2026. According to Section 3 of the Baden-Württemberg State Hospitality Act, certain hospitality establishments are required to undergo a hospitality training course, which, under current legislation, is conducted by a Chamber of Industry and Commerce.

Our training course, in accordance with Section 4 of the German Food Hygiene Regulation (LMV), provides expert instruction on the relevant topics concerning food hygiene, food law, and food safety. However, under current legislation, it does not replace the mandatory training course. not the legally required training for restaurant owners in Baden-Württemberg.
